Serrano’s Desiree Tanori signed a letter of intent to play softball for Missouri Baptist University.

Tanori was offered scholarships to play at three different schools but chose MBU because of the academics and the family-oriented lifestyle on campus.

The Spartans became interested in Tanori when she attended a college showcase tournament with her travel team, the SoCal Magic 18Gold, in Las Vegas last year.

Tanori will receive a 70-percent scholarship and plans to major in psychology.
