Terran Poindexter led the Way for Sultana (10-1, 6-1 MRL) with 13 kills and three blocks; Stephanie Prescott added six blocks; Erica Walters had 12 kills and two aces; and Brittany Moon finished with 22 assists.
The Sultans travel to Serrano on Thursday in a match that will decide the league championship.
HESPERIA 3, RIM OF THE WORLD 0: At Hesperia, the Scorpions swept the Scots in a Mojave River League match 27-25, 25-22 and 25-15.
Taylor Winchester led the way for Hesperia (13-12, 2-5 MRL) with 13 kills, four blocks and 11 digs. Belinda Dunbar added 11 kills, 11 digs, nine blocks and two aces; Brittany Westlplat had eight kills and 16 digs; Samantha Beltran finished 15 digs; and Jaissi Manriquez had 14 digs and 27 assists.
“The girls played well,” Hesperia coach Omar Lopez said. “Our defense was awesome. ... It was a really good win.”
APPLE VALLEY CHRISTIAN 3, EXCELSIOR 0: At Apple Valley, the Warriors swept the Eagles 25-20, 25-16 and 25-8 to wrap up the fourth and final playoff spot in the Agape League.
Kelsey Verburg led AVC (8-9, 5-4 AL) with seven kills, 12 assists and six aces. Nicole Warren had seven aces; and Sonique Takvorian finished with five kills and eight aces.
McKenna Poole had four aces, six kills and two assists to pace Excelsior (1-11, 1-9 AL); and Sally Lloyd added one ace, three kills and two assists.
WOODCREST CHRISTIAN 3, VICTOR VALLEY CHRISTIAN 0: At Riverside, the Royals were swept in a nonleague match 25-19, 25-17 and 25-20.
Rachel Conway had seven kills and three blocks for VVCS (12-7); Cassie Morris added three kills, two blocks and 14 digs; and Mary Galindo finished with two aces and 12 digs.
The Royals trail Joshua Springs by a game in the Agape League standings and host the Lightning on Thursday at 6 p.m.
