Comments 0 | Recommend 0NEWSOME LEADS AFTER FIRST DAY: At La Quinta, Joshua Springs’ Nick Newsome shot an 83 to lead after the first day of the Agape League Finals on the Norman Course at PGA West.
Victor Valley Christian’s Joseph Conway (87), Hesperia Christian’s Jacob Arreola (87) and Apple Valley Christian’s Matt Messner (89) were the only other players to break 90 on a very windy day.
Day 2 of the tournament is today. The top three players, determined by average scores in the regular season and the results at the league finals, will advance to the CIF Individual Preliminaries held May 12 at Sterling Hills Golf Club in Camarillo.
