Cross Country Roundup: 10-29-07

HAWKS GIRLS GO UNBEATEN: At Victorville, the Silverado girls defeated Granite Hills 22-33 to finish the Desert Sky League dual meet season 4-0, while the Granite Hills boys beat the Hawks.

The Hawks’ Sara Taylor broke her own course record on Silverado’s 3.1-mile course with a time of 20 minutes, 11 seconds. She was followed in second place by Ashley Baker (20:20) of Granite Hills (3-1 DSL).

On the boys side, Granite Hills (2-2 DSL) rolled to an 18-40 victory, led by Chris Rivera (16:15) and Nick Kelley (16:42) in the top two spots. Ryan Chapman (16:54) was third for Silverado (1-3 DSL).
