Comments 0 | Recommend 0GRANITE HILLS 3, CHARTER OAK 1: At Apple Valley, the Cougars advanced to the CIF-Southern Section III-AA quarterfinals by winning 25-10, 25-27, 25-21 and 25-19 in a second-round match.
Hannah Fortin had 10 kills and three blocks for Granite Hills (19-3). Victoria Iosefa added 14 kills; Carly Chandler finished with 19 digs; Haleigh Bowen tallied 13 digs; Amanda Kemple contributed seven blocks; and Jill and Keri Betts each registered six kills.
The Cougars travel to Quartz Hill on Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
EL DORADO 3, SERRANO 0: At Valencia, the Diamondbacks were swept in a CIF-Southern Section Division I-A playoff match, 25-21, 25-14 and 25-20.
Chelsey Sanderson led the way with eight kills and eight blocks for Serrano (19-9). Taelor Davis added 15 assists and 12 digs; Stephanie Espey finished with 15 digs; and Delainey Aigner-Swesey tallied eight kills and eight blocks.
COASTAL CHRISTIAN 3, VICTOR VALLEY CHRISTIAN 1: At Victorville, the Royals fell 25-23, 25-13, 20-25 and 25-21 in a CIF-SS Div. V-AA playoff match.
“We basically lost our whole team from last year and nobody thought we would do much,” VVCS coach Shelley Morgan said. “We tied for the championship in the (Agape) League. It was a great season.”
For the Royals, Rachel Conway had 13 kills and nine digs; Puneet Sandhu had 10 kills; Cassie Morris tallied seven kills and three blocks; Tiffany Ivory had 15 assists; and Mary Galindo added 27 digs.
